Halloween Party

Halloween can be a crazy time of year.  It has caused frustrations for me in the past because of the amount of people that want to share in the festivities.  Our rooms barely hold our class on a daily basis, so when we had 20-30 adults in it and tried to move around doing activities it would feel very crowded.  To alleviate this, I created a science show with a parent from a previous year and it has become a big hit.  I can't wait for you to share in this experience with your child.  The main part of my party is a science learning experience that is fun and hands on.  It is organized and the kids have loved it every year.

I spend a lot of time planning the science show, so I would love for someone or a small group of parents help me coordinate the food for the day.  We will be having our party in the morning before lunch so I want to make sure that the food is light and healthy, but it is nice to have some snacks together to celebrate the season.  I am looking for some creative or "pinteresty" people to get together and plan some healthy and fun snacks that are Halloween themed. If you can help with this, please e-mail me and I will send out a group e-mail to organize everyone.  I attached some ideas below I found with a minimal amount of searching.  

Together we can create a great experience for the kids that is learning rich and nutritious for their minds and bodies.  I want to give them a memory and not a sugar filled day of chaos that works against our normal routines in the classroom.  Please join me in creating this memory for the kids and helping them realize that this can be a fun and healthy celebration during the school day.  They will end up getting plenty of candy from other places.

Classroom Party Time Will Be: 10:00-11:00
